Clopidogrel and Proton Pump Inhibitors

We have just receive some indication from the manufacturers (Sanofi Aventis + Bristol-Myer Squibb ) that Clopidogrel-containing medicines and proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) ’should be avoided unless absolutely necessary’. The preliminary studies indicate a cytochrome P450-type interaction.

Another Class 4 Alert

The MHRA has just posted another Class 4 Alert relating to the patient information leaflet (PIL) of Timoptol-LA 0.25% w/v & 0.5% w/v Gel-Forming Eye Drops Solutions.
The dose printed on the PIL is wrong. It states a dose of twice a day instead of the correct ONCE a day dosage.

Important – Class 4 Alert

We have just been alerted to this packaging issue with Priadel 400mg Prolonged Release. The labelling on the rear panel of the cartons are wrong. On the side of the box where you place the dispensing label, you have Lithium Carbonate 200mg incorrectly printed on it.
